- After reading the synopsis, I saw that the needle he was using was rusty. I searched disease caused by rust, but got nothing. Then I got into Web md symptom checker and looked for diseases cause muscle spasms in neck, jaw and abdomen. I got 7 results for my symptoms.
- I went to Google search engine and searched for diseases caused by infections in the bloodstream that cause extreme muscle spasms. I clicked on a web page called National Institute on Aging, a federal website. I then looked for any diseases that matched my case, one was tetanus, this was one of the Web MD symptom checker results.
- I went to www.emedicinehealth.com to read more about the disease. I learned that it goes in the blood stream and causes all sorts of infection, one which is severe lockjaw. I knew I had the disease, but I needed more information
- I read a section in the book, Everything you need to know about diseases, which provided me similar diseases, such as meningitis. I then researched meningitis and found that meningitis is not the disease, and confirmed that the disease was Tetanus.
