SELF PRESENTATION
My name is Farzon, I am from
Tajikistan. I have loved Stockholm. Even it is much colder than in my country,
but I still like it.
The past 3 months has gone very quickly. It took some time for me to
realise the ‘pace of learning’ here in KTH is much greater than in my previous
university.
My programme
of Computational and Systems Biology is more fits my wishes. Even if my
bachelors was an Information systems in Economy and I have graduated it with
success, but I had feeling that my bachelors major was not what I really want
from the life, so that’s why I decided to choose, may say made a huge change in
my life and have chosen Computational and Systems Biology as my masters degree.
I am not satisfied with the result of my first exam, but I think I have made a
little step to the big future. Fact is that I didn’t study biology before, and
I have no background of biology. It makes my study here harder and slower, but
anyway it is some kind of challenge for me.
Here in KTH,
we were given more responsibility in such things as investigating information
for subjects and organising school events. Some of my fellow students took some
time to adjust to this increased responsibility.
My core skills have shown improvement over these three months. I have
worked with friends in a number of course projects, and developed the team work
skills. I have increased my Information Technology skills by making greater use
of the Internet for subject research and learned new programming languages. I
have been able to overcome a number of complex problems mainly through good
planning and appropriate information selection.
To successfully manage a number of tasks simultaneously and share
responsibilities in team activities, I can appreciate why these are important
in employment.
If my programme course results are favourable I will continue the higher
education courses and will try for PhD.
